For such a time as this…

{April 18, 2016}   Who am I?

Our biggest challenge…

In The Beginning… it was the failure to acknowledge our true identity that got us lost and on a path of death and destruction in the first place!

It was; and still is; the oldest trick in The Book!

“…if you eat of it…you will become LIKE GOD…” – Gen.3:5

Eve fell for the craftiness of the enemy. She thought she needed to do something to become more like God and forgot that she was already made in His image!

As Eve, in Gen.3:6, so many of us still struggle with the fruit of  knowledge of good and evilWe get trapped in the wisdom of human knowledge and psychology and the way we should live and act according to our own thoughts and desires.

  • we rely on ourselves, our own insights and desires rather than to lean wholeheartedly on the instructions of the Lord. – [Prov.3:5-6]
  • we fix our eyes on things that are pleasing, suitable and delightful to the flesh instead of the unseen. – [2 Cor.4:18]
  • we desire wisdom that the world gives instead of the true wisdom that can only come from God through Christ. – [Prov.2:6; 1 Cor.1:24]
  • our actions are a clear indication of the fruit we are eating. [Jam.3:13-18]

We get lost to the point that we open ourselves to the dangers of idolatry! – Our opinions and the thoughts and advise of others matters more than The Word of God!

“For the world’s wisdom is foolishness (absurdity and stupidity) with God, for it is written, He lays hold of the wise in their [own] craftiness; [Job 5:13]. And again the Lord knows the thoughts and reasoning of the [humanly] wise and recognizes how futile they are. [Ps. 94;11] so let no one exult proudly concerning men [boasting of having this or that man as a leader], for all things are yours…everything belongs to you, and you belong to Christ and Christ belongs to God.” – 1 Cor.3:19-23

We forget that our only assignment should be to reflect His Image in which we were made.

Hegai (possibly a Jewish slave, just like Daniel) was very impressed with Esther and treated her kindly.

Esther had not told anyone of her nationality and family background (being a Jew and her faith in God), because Mordecai (her adopted father) had directed her not to do so.

Every day Mordecai would take a walk near the courtyard of the harem to find out about Esther and what was happening to her.

When it was time for her to go to the king’s palace, she was given her choice of whatever clothing or jewelry she wanted to take from the harem. she accepted the advice of Hegai, the eunuch in charge of the harem…

She asked for nothing except what he suggested, and SHE WAS ADMIRED BY EVERYONE WHO SAW HER!

The Persian king, Xerxes (unsaved, drunk, worldly ruler – see movie 300) loved Esther more than any of the other young women. He was so delighted with her that he set the royal crown on her head and declared her queen instead of Vashti – the previous Queen and daughter of King Belshazzar, in Daniel 5, who refused King Xerxes and dishonored him, Esther 1.

To celebrate the occasion, he, king Xerxes, gave a great banquet in Esther’s honor for all his nobles and officials, declaring a public holiday for the provinces and giving generous gifts to everyone. (The whole province, Jews and Persians, benefited generously because of her.)

Esther continued to keep her family background and nationality a secret (being a Jew and her faith in God). She was still following Mordecai’s directions, just as she did when she lived in his home.

(‭Esther‬ ‭2‬:‭9-11,13‬,15,17-18, 20 NLT)

Genesis 32

It’s never too late to fight for reconciliation!

Jacob fled from his brother’s anger and lived and worked for his uncle, Laban, for 20 years. These years were full of trails, problems and hardships,

Jacob left his uncle, not in perfect conditions, but with faith in the word of the Lord and with God on his side!

On his way, angels of God came to meet him and when Jacob saw them, he exclaimed, “This is God’s camp!”

Jacob was ready to humble himself before his brother in speech and in deeds. He sent messengers ahead to his brother Esau, and told them:

“Give this message to my master Esau: ‘Humble greetings from your servant Jacob. I have sent these messengers to inform my lord of my coming, hoping that you will be friendly to me.’”

After delivering the message, the messengers returned to Jacob and reported,

“We met your brother, Esau, and he is already on his way to meet you—with an army of 400 men!” His brother still held a grudge!

Jacob was terrified at the news and he prayed,

“O God of my grandfather Abraham, and God of my father, Isaac—O Lord, you told me, ‘Return to your own land and to your relatives.’ And you promised me, ‘I will treat you kindly.’ I am not worthy of all the unfailing love and faithfulness you have shown to me, your servant. When I left home and crossed the Jordan River, I owned nothing except a walking stick. Now my household fills two large camps! O Lord, please rescue me from the hand of my brother, Esau. I am afraid that he is coming to attack me, along with my wives and children. But you promised me, ‘I will surely treat you kindly, and I will multiply your descendants until they become as numerous as the sands along the seashore—too many to count.’”

It is natural to be afraid and that is why we need to to be in prayer and in connection with God’s Spirit. We need to know God’s Word and stand firmly on it!

Jacob stayed where he was for the night and he selected gifts from his possessions to present to his brother, Esau, and sent it ahead.

During the night when Jacob was all alone in the camp, a man came and wrestled with him until the dawn began to break. When the man saw that he would not win the fight, he touched Jacob’s hip and wrenched it out of its socket. Then the man said, “Let me go, for the dawn is breaking!”

But Jacob said, “I will not let you go unless you bless me.”

“Your name will no longer be JACOB (liar, deceiver and grabber),”

“From now on you will be called:

ISRAEL – you have fought with God and with men and have won.”

The fight for reconciliation will first be won spiritually – in your own heart and mind and in the presence of the Lord – then it can be put into action physically.

When you overcome the lies of the enemy and he no longer has a hold on your life to lie, to deceive and to keep you in the prison of your own fear, then you will be free and confident knowing that God is with you and you are walking and acting in obedience to His Word.

Matthew 18

Maybe you struggle with this question as well…

“Lord, how often should I forgive someone who sins against me? Seven times?”

“No, not seven times,” Jesus replied, “but seventy times seven!

70 x 7 = 490 times, per person, per day, per incident!

What are the consequences if we do not forgive?

The angry king sent the man to prison to be tortured until he had paid his entire debt.

“That’s what my heavenly Father will do to you if you refuse to forgive your brothers and sisters from your heart.

The only way we can get out of this prison and this torturing which is so evident in our lives; is to forgive our brothers and sisters from the heart!

We can not wait any longer!

Genesis 4:6-7

“Why are you so angry?”

“Why do you look so dejected?

You will be accepted if you do what is right. But if you refuse to do what is right, then watch out! Sin is crouching at the door, eager to control you. But you must subdue it and be its master.”

Ephesians 4:26

“Don’t sin by letting anger control you.”Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry !

Grab a hold of God’s presence and do not let go until He Blesses you!

Fight till you have no pride left, even if you have to walk with the scars for the rest of your life!

Overcome your fear and put your faith in action – God is with you!

You are an Overcomer!

James 4:7 & Revelation 12:11

Humble yourselves before God
Not my will, but God’s will be done!
Resist the devil
Spiritual Warfare begins with obedience and in total humility
Overcome the Devil:
  • by the blood of the Lamb,
  • by the word of your testimony; and
  • do not love your life unto death!
and he will flee from you
Victory comes in the action of obedience!

{September 12, 2014}   Jacob’s Ladder is Jesus

Then he said, “I tell you the truth, you will all see heaven open and the angels of God going up and down on the Son of Man, the one who is the stairway between heaven and earth. ”(‭John‬ ‭1‬:‭51‬ NLT)

Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.  (John 14:6 NLT)

As he slept, he dreamed of a stairway that reached from the earth up to heaven. And he saw the angels of God going up and down the stairway. At the top of the stairway stood the LORD, and he said, “I am the LORD, the God of your grandfather Abraham, and the God of your father, Isaac. The ground you are lying on belongs to you. I am giving it to you and your descendants. (‭Genesis‬ ‭28‬:‭12-13‬ NLT)

A Prophetic Trans-Mission!

For such a time as this...

First hours of the year 2000

As a team our international ministry felt to have a conference call with communion and prayer from where the sun rises until where it sets.

It was a prophetic prayer chain that started in Fiji and ended in Hawaii.

We were on Holiday in SA, but still living in Argentina.

When it was our turn to log-on and start praying for the Nations, God gave me an extra-ordinary vision. While we were praying as a team, I saw Hawaii as a Nation; in the form of a fisherman. Hawaii had a fishing-net in its hands and it was funny looking. Something I had never seen before. Only years later when we lived in Uganda (2007), when we stood on the banks of Victoria Lake I recognized the nets while fishermen were busy with their daily work. It was so profound when I saw these…

A lifestyle of Prayer and repentance, will bring healing and restoration to our cities and Nations – 2 Chronicles 7:14

who are called by My Name

God is NOT speaking to the sinners and unsaved. He is talking to us who calls ourselves His children and His church. People who confess to be Christians. Just as Jesus was sent by God in John 17:16-18, so we have been sent to this world. We do not belong to this world and if we know His word we will walk in truth and we will know what to do in every situation. Then we can proclaim like Jesus in Luk.4:18,19: ”

“The Spirit of the lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free,
and that the time of the lord’s favor has come.
It has and always will be about the lost and the sinners and us giving our lives, comfort and time to be there for them.

will humble themselves

We have to walk in humility and reject any form of pride and arrogance, like in 1 Pet.5:6-11. We need to trust God with all our worries and cares, not just personally but concerns about our Nations and our Governments as well. We cannot be offended by suffering but we need to have faith that God will restore and strengthen us through and in these circumstances. Concerning the leaders in our Nations we have to treat them according to Rom.13. These authorities comes from God and has been placed there by God. If we rebel against our authorities we are rebelling against God and what He has instituted. If not we will be punished for our arrogance and pride.

Tit.3 is very clear that no matter what our government looks like we have to be obedient and always be ready to do what is good. We cannot slander anyone in authority and we have to avoid quarreling. We must always be gentle and show true humility to all people in authority. True humility will know that once we too were foolish and disobedient, we were also misled and became slaves of many lusts and pleasures. Envy, hatred and anger were evident in our lives – but – God’s grace, kindness and love found us and now we are saved! Not because we were righteous or good but because of His mercy; and this is what people in authority also need. But if we, God’s people, walk with pride and arrogance; then we will criticize, condemn and judge the people who instead we needed to serve with good deeds and kindness for them to also experience God’s mercy and love through us! Kindness leads people to repentance –

and pray

We can never even begin to pray if we do not humble ourselves first. The more we realize who we were, sinners, and how we came to be His People – through grace, forgiveness, kindness and mercy – then and only then can our prayers and intersession for lost people and authorities be real and effective.

Even Jesus needed to pray and He was the Son of God. (Matthew 14:23, Mark 1:35, 6:46, Luke 5:16)

How much more do we need to pray? Pride make us believe that we can do it ourselves and that we know the solutions to our problems. That is what the enemy is waiting for, he is walking around like a roaring lion waiting to destroy us – 1 Pet.5:8,9. But if we humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God and give our worries and cares to Him and believe that He cares for us, He will protect and deliver us and carry us through our sufferings in our obedience to Him and His Word.

“This, then, is how you should pray:
Read Matt.6:5-15
“Our Father in heaven,
God is Love – 1John 4:8; John 15; 1 Cor.13 – and
Love is a “Father” and not a “feeling”
Know your position and authority as His Child! – Eph.1; 2:6-10; 3:14-21
We are seated in heavenly places with Him. How amazing!
hallowed be your name,
your kingdom come,
Seek first His Kingdom of God by doing a study on the teachings of Jesus about the Kingdom of God/Heaven
We need to be salt, light, yeast – not hide in fear of contamination!
your will be done,
Father not my will but your will be done! (Rom.12)
I have to count my dreams and my plans as trash and only know Him and His Will. (Phil.2-3)
on earth as it is in heaven.
No longer will there be a curse upon anything…(Rev.22:3)
The Spirit and the Bride say: “COME” Let anyone who hears this say “COME” Let anyone who is thirsty come.
Let anyone who desire drink freely drink from the water of Life (Rev.22:17, John 7:38)
Give us today our daily bread.
We will not live by bread alone but by every Word that comes from the Mouth of God (Matt.4:4)
And forgive us our debts,
as we also have forgiven our debtors.
Forgive before the sun goes down, if not you give a mighty foothold to the enemy (Eph.4:26)
Forgive 70×7=490 times per day per person (Matt.18:22)
And lead us not into temptation,
The Holy Spirit lead Jesus into the wilderness to be tempted by the enemy 40 days.
1) Test on physical needs and provision – Faith that God and His Word is enough.
2) Test to prove Himself through miracles – Never expect God to prove Himself. He is God!
3) Test on Worldly Wealth and Power – Worship and Serve God ALONE! (Matt.4:1-10)
but deliver us from the evil one.
Be excellent in what is good and innocent of evil and the God of PEACE will soon crush Satan underneath your feet! (Rom.16:19-20)
Always seek, look and fight for PEACE and God will do the rest.
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.
If you do not forgive, God will give you over to torturers until you forgive from the heart (Matt.18:34,35)

and seek My Face

When we seek the face of God we will find His glory. This glory of God is filled with goodness and in this goodness we will find His mercy and compassion just as Moses did in Exodus 33:18-20. We need to seek His face constantly so that His goodness, mercy and compassion, will fill us in such a way that we can display His Image where ever we go and with whom ever we meet. Judgement, arrogance and pride will have no room in our lives if we seek His Face!

Ps.27:8 You have said, Seek My face [inquire for and require My presence as your vital need].
My heart says to You, Your face (Your presence), Lord, will I seek, inquire for,
and require [of necessity and on the authority of Your Word].
:9 Hide not Your face from me; turn not Your servant away in anger,
You Who have been my help! Cast me not off, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation!
When God’s Face shines on us we will have peace – Num.6:25-26;
Ps.31:18; Ps.67:1; Ps.80:19, Ps.119:135;
We have to seek His face continually – 1 Chr.16:11; Ps.105:4;
and turn from their wicked ways
1 Peter 2 – we have to get rid of all evil behavior -deceit, hypocrisy, jealousy, and all unkind speech. Now that we have had a taste of the Lord’s kindness, we have to cry out for this nourishment. We will stumble if we do not obey God’s word, and then we will meet the fate that was planned for us. But we are a chosen people, a royal priests, a holy nation, God’s very own possession. As a result, we have to show others the goodness of God, for he called us out of the darkness into his wonderful light. We have to keep away from worldly desires that wage war against our very souls and be careful to live properly among our unbelieving neighbors. Then even if they accuse us of doing wrong, they will see our honorable behavior, and they will give honor to God when he judges the world. For the Lord’s sake we have to submit to all human authority—whether the king as head of state, or the officials he has appointed. It is God’s will that our honorable lives should silence those ignorant people who make foolish accusations against us. We have to submit to people in authority and do what they tell us to do—not only if they are kind and reasonable, but even if they are cruelFor God is pleased when, conscious of his will, we patiently endure unjust treatmentOf course we will get no credit for being patient if we are beaten for doing wrong. But if we suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with usFor God called us to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for us. He is our example, and we must follow in his steps.

He never sinned,
nor ever deceived anyone.
He did not retaliate when he was insulted,
nor threaten revenge when he suffered.
He left his case in the hands of God,
who always judges fairly.
He personally carried our sins
in his body on the cross
so that we can be dead to sin
and live for what is right.
By his wounds
we are healed.
Once we were like sheep
who wandered away.
But now we have turned to our Shepherd,
the Guardian of your souls.
God will hear from heaven and HE will forgive our sins and restore our land.

ROSARIO – “City of Prayer” –

“Beautiful Rose Garden filled with the Fragrance of Prayer” –

All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before he made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in his eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into his own family by bringing us to himself through Jesus Christ. This is what he wanted to do, and it gave him great pleasure. So we praise God for the glorious grace he has poured out on us who belong to his dear Son. He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of his Son and forgave our sins. He has showered his kindness on us, along with all wisdom and understanding. God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure. And this is the plan:

At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth. Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. God’s purpose was that we Jews who were the first to trust in Christ would bring praise and glory to God. And now you Gentiles have also heard the truth, the Good News that God saves you. And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him.

Ever since I first heard of your strong faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for God’s people everywhere, I have not stopped thanking God for you. I pray for you constantly, asking God, the glorious Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, to give you spiritual wisdom and insight so that you might grow in your knowledge of God. I pray that your hearts will be flooded with light so that you can understand the confident hope he has given to those he called—his holy people who are his rich and glorious inheritance. I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. Now he is far above any ruler or authority or power or leader or anything else—not only in this world but also in the world to come. God has put all things under the authority of Christ and has made him head over all things for the benefit of the church. And the church is his body; it is made full and complete by Christ, who fills all things everywhere with himself.

Once you were dead because of your disobedience and your many sins. You used to live in sin, just like the rest of the world, obeying the devil—the commander of the powers in the unseen world. He is the spirit at work in the hearts of those who refuse to obey God. All of us used to live that way, following the passionate desires and inclinations of our sinful nature. By our very nature we were subject to God’s anger, just like everyone else. But God is so rich in mercy, and he loved us so much, that even though we were dead because of our sins, he gave us life when he raised Christ from the dead. (It is only by God’s grace that you have been saved!)

For he raised us from the dead along with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ Jesus. So God can point to us in all future ages as examples of the incredible wealth of his grace and kindness toward us, as shown in all he has done for us who are united with Christ Jesus. God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.

When I think of all this, I fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. I pray that from his glorious, unlimited resources he will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. Then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in him. Your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is. May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God. Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think. Glory to him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever! Amen.

(Eph.1:3-23 & 2:1-10 & 3:14-21 – NLT)

LOVE – what a powerful word.

No, let me correct myself, it’s not just a powerful word but a powerful way of being. It is the very Image that we display. We were created for this purpose – to demonstrate the Image of God/Love

1John 4:8 – But anyone who does not love does not know God, for GOD is LOVE.

GOD Is 'LOVE' - 1 John 4 verses 7-8

This discovery and realization of Who and What Love is – will change the way we think, live and act! When we struggle with Love problems – we will realize that all we need to do; is to connect with the Source of Love/God. If we struggle to forgive anyone – parents, friends, siblings, enemies, spouses, children etc. – it’s because we do not know or understand Love/God the way we should. So all we need to do is to seek Love/God. When we find Him, we will be filled with His Presence/Love and our actions will flow from this Fountain of Love/Life inside of us. We will be a walking Image of God/Love.

The more we Love the Lord our God  with all our hearts and all our minds and all our souls the more we will Love ourselves and in so doing we will Love other people in the same way.           Mark 12:30,31

Nothing will be more important than LOVE/GOD it will be the very core of our existence.

We will live a life of giving, because God loved us so much that He GAVE…JESUS

So let us ask ourselves everyday: “Where and how can I GIVE or BE LIKE JESUS to show or demonstrate GOD’s LOVE today?”

God/Love is asking:

So all the generations from Abraham to David are fourteen generations; and from David until the carrying away into Babylon are fourteen generations; and from the carrying away into Babylon unto Christ are fourteen generations – Matt. 1:17

It’s so exciting to know we are standing on the beginning of something new.

A young generation who will stand up and take their place in history.

images (21) new-generation

The next 14 years will belong to a new generation who will make their mark and take action to accomplish God’s purposes and plans for their lives. A generation who will stand up against “Goliath” in their nations. Young people who have served faithfully with no fear and many times unseen, undervalued and to young to be of importance. Young people who will rise without fear full of faith and courage that God will do exceedingly, abundantly, above all they can think, dream or imagine through the power of God at work within them. They will challenge the fear and failure of the previous generation.

The previous generations will try to train them in the old ways and would want them to fight “Goliath” with old and too big clothes but if we open our hearts and our ears to hear the Spirit of the Lord speaking we will know that this generations will use simple methods and will not act according to the old ways or traditions. Their weapons will be primitive and it would seem as if they enter this war zone without proper training or covering. But just as David, these young people will walk in faith and use the enemies weapons against him, in the same way David did with the sword of Goliath.

If we allow the young people to challenge “Goliath” in their own way, then they will have victory and it would be for the entire nation. We cannot mold and conform this generation to our ways and religious views. God was with them to face their own lions and bears and so He will be with them every step of the way in this new wave of liberation and transformation of our Nations.

Being a multiple of 7, 14 being double that number, implies a double measure of spiritual perfection.

Ishmael was fourteen when Isaac was born, or fourteen years older than Isaac – Gen.16,17

Maybe we made the same mistake as Abram by trying to “help” God to fulfill His promises and plans for our lives. And in so doing we also sit with a “Hagar and Ishmael”. We heard the word of God through “Hagar” and we raised this son, “Ishmael – God Hears” as our own and thought that God’s promises would be accomplished through this son. But God broke his silence after 13 years and said:

“I am El-Shaddai – ‘God Almighty.’ Serve me faithfully and live a blameless life. I will make a covenant with you, by which I will guarantee to give you countless descendants.

Just as Abram we can feel that we have worked so hard to raise this “son” and how can we start over again. Begin something new? We have used the best years of our lives to build this ministry, business etc. how can God change everything now. We thought it was time to retire and live a peaceful quiet live with a “son” we thought was well trained, but God is saying, NO!

We have to let go of the OLD and accept the NEW!

“At this, Abram fell face down on the ground. Then God said to him, “This is my covenant with you: I will make you the father of a multitude of nations! What’s more, I am changing your name. It will no longer be Abram – “Exalted Father”. Instead, you will be called Abraham – “father of many nations” – Gen.17:3-5

We can no longer be “Exalted Fathers” and build our own churches, congregations, kingdoms, businesses or ministries! It’s all about Nations and the Transformation of it. Raising up and supporting the Next Generation!

We cannot accept the laws that enslave our young people in tradition and religion! – Gal.4:21-31

Remember: “Isaac” means laughter and many people, friends, family, co-worker, leaders etc. will laugh at us for making such a drastic change. We might even feel the persecution of the religious system and traditions – all maintained by human effort! But God will accomplish His purposes and plans through this “New Generation” and so they need spiritual fathers and mothers to motivate, support and comfort them to follow God’s calling into business, government and education in the same way Esther, Daniel, Joseph and David did and ultimately walk and talk the way Jesus did – outside the walls, among all people, loving the lost until death!

The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is upon me, for the Lord has anointed me to bring good news to the poor. He has sent me to comfort the brokenhearted and to proclaim that captives will be released and prisoners will be freed.
He has sent me to tell those who mourn that the time of the Lord’s favor has come, and with it, the day of God’s anger against their enemies. To all who mourn in Israel, he will give a crown of beauty for ashes, a joyous blessing instead of mourning, festive praise instead of despair. In their righteousness, they will be like great oaks that the Lord has planted for his own glory. They will rebuild the ancient ruins, repairing cities destroyed long ago. They will revive them, though they have been deserted for many generations.
Foreigners will be your servants. They will feed your flocks and plow your fields and tend your vineyards. You will be called priests of the Lord, ministers of our God. You will feed on the treasures of the nations and boast in their riches. Instead of shame and dishonor, you will enjoy a double share of honor. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.
“For I, the Lord, love justice. I hate robbery and wrongdoing. I will faithfully reward my people for their suffering and make an everlasting covenant with themTheir descendants will be recognized and honored among the nations. Everyone will realize that they are a people the Lord has blessed.”
I am overwhelmed with joy in the Lord my God! For he has dressed me with the clothing of salvation and draped me in a robe of righteousness. I am like a bridegroom in his wedding suit
or a bride with her jewels. The Sovereign Lord will show his justice to the nations of the world. Everyone will praise him! His righteousness will be like a garden in early spring, with plants springing up everywhere – Is.61
